One day spent around Woomera, another easy day around Maralinga Village

Camps - Woomera, "Mt Eba" Station, Nullabor Roadhouse, Maralinga for 2 nights & Coober Pedy. All other camps were in the bush.
Usual amount of track clearing on all desert roads
Saw quite a number of vehicles for so early in the season, unusual

 

** We were allowed to tour Maralinga for 2 days - a significant privilege. **

 

Two flat tyres, sidewall stake & tread stake - repaired
One fridge failed
Damaged CV boot on IFS vehicle

 

"Waldana" Well & "Muckera" rockholes contained water

 

Only 2 Camels (very good), Dingos, Thorny Devils, Wedge Tailed Eagles, Hawks, Kestrels, Pied Butcherbirds, Crows, Magpies, Mynas, Black Faced Wood Swallows, Wagtails, Singing Honeyeaters, Brown Honeyeaters, Pipits, Black Faced Cuckoo-shrikes, Crested Bellbirds, Chiming Wedgebills, Field Wrens, Red Capped Robins, Galahs, Major Mitchells, Ringneck Parrots, Mulga Parrots (a great many), White Browed Babblers (a great many), Barn Owl
*Inland Dotterels (quite a few pairs in more than one location)
